Berlin du bist so wunderbar

Around 2 weeks ago I spent my birthday in Berlin together with the family at my uncle's. As part of our tradition we always go to Kaufhaus des Westens also known as KaDeWe (English "Department Store of the West") which is the second largest department store in Europe (the largest one is in London which is called Harrods as some of you may know).

Here's where I fell in love...again... I left my heart on the ground floor :-P at the right wing of the KaDeWe next to Gucci, Louis Vuitton, Prada, Burberry and Chanel...

Paloma. Also known as the famous Miu Miu Paloma Messenger Bag.I know it resembles the Mulberry Alexa bag A LOT. But to be honest with you, this purse just swept me off my feet!The one I fell in love with had a nice rusty caramel-brown color. Unfortunately, I couldn't find it online *cry*?! The leather is so baby soft and the golden gleaming hardware which adds such a nice elegant touch to the purse is just hypnotizing :-) What a delight!

Christmas time!

...just finished wrapping another bunch of Christmas gifts. I seriously have no more space in my suitcase! Heading home tomorrow morning at 5:30 AM and still got to pack my things. Ugh! Long live the queen of procrastination... *A suitcase full of surprises*

Hey guys!!! I hope you all have had a nice weekend? Well, actually its still Sunday so enjoy the last hours before the week begins! I know its been a long time I blogged. I was very busy with my internship report...grrr...

It was my mom's Bday on Friday so my parents came over to Brussels to spend the weekend with me and the bf who also came over for this special occasion. We had a blast! Everything went as planned and I guess I gained weight due to the nice culinarian treats we had here and there. If ever you're in town I recommend you to stop by at this amazing restaurant called La Manufacture!!! Or check out Wittamer for those who love pastries and chocolate.

Last but not least my beloved mom made me the HAPPIEST GIRL ON EARTH. We stopped by at the Louis Vuitton store and guess what??? I almost had a heart attack at LV... :-D And I'm still amped!!!

Hey guys! Ik hoop dat jullie allemaal een fijn weekend gehad hebben? Nou, het is eigenlijk nog zondag dus geniet van de laatste uren voordat de week weer opnieuw begint! Het is al een tijdje geleden dat ik geblogd heb. Ik was erg bezig met mijn stageverslag ... Grrr ...

Het was mijn moeder's verjaardag op vrijdag dus mijn ouders kwamen naar Brussel om het weekend hier met mij door te brengen en de bf kwam natuurlijk ook vanuit NL voor deze speciale gelegenheid. Het was super leuk! Alles verliep zoals gepland en ik denk dat ik een beetje aangekomen ben door het lekkere eten hier en daar. Als jullie wel eens in Brussel zijn adviseer ik jullie om naar "La Manufacture" te gaan eten. Voor liefhebbers van gebak en chocolade neem eens een kijkje bij Wittamer.Last but not least mijn geliefde moeder maakte me DE GELUKKIGSTE MEISJE OP AARDE. We zijn naar de Louis Vuitton boutique langs geweest dus..... Ik had bijna een hartaanval!!! :-D En ik ben nog steeds erg gaga!

Fries and Yoga.

How are you guys? I feel great! Even if I have to review for an upcoming exam and worked overtime today, I still feel pretty much okay. So yesterday I spontaneously decided to go to a trial yoga class together with a few girl colleague interns. The problem was, we we're in such a hurry after work that we ended up having Coke Zero and a medium portion of my favorite Belgian fries around the corner where I live and rushed to yoga class. I got to say: the fries did not do me good, but the yoga class was just amazing!
I was pretty surprised I that I liked it. Imagine you get English power yoga classes from a French speaking Belgian guy! It was very relaxing and clears up your mind. It gives you more energy and today I even felt slightly sore so there must be some muscle activity :-P What do we learn from this lesson? More yoga and less fries the next time? Definitely YES!

BLACK & GOLD

Chic, elegant and eye-catching. Isn't it? Black and gold. Two timeless colors that go perfectly well together. At the same time it has this huge contrast like salt and pepper, water and fire or Heidi Klum and Seal? When I think of "Black and Gold" I think of: Barock, Cleopatra, Versace, Louis XIV of France, Sam Sparro and Champagne. Sam Sparro's "Black and Gold" interpretation is by the way as addictive as these two colors, i love his song! Since I do not want to miss out I ordered a few things at asos.com. Below the pictures!

My outfit of the weekend includes an old H&M L.O.G.G. logger dress. It was hanging in my closet for years, only worn once so I thought why not recycle it, cut off the ruffle-ish border and turn it into a normal blouse? Do you have any other recycling tips or tricks?

I LIKE BIG BUNS AND I CANNOT LIE

Today I brushed my hair and surprisingly realized: "omg!waist long?when the last time I got my hair cut?". To be honest, it's been ages! And it gets difficult day by day. Jacket buttons and weird subway seats... the worst enemy for my hair. Lately I always get stuck or I feel like I cannot move my head because my hair gets caught in my scarf.
Actually my best friend and hair guru always cuts my hair and unfortunately he is very busy, I live in another country, and I do NOT trust other parlors nor I do plan to cut the split ends by myself?!

So what I do is just tie it up! Knots. Elegant buns. Big buns. Messy buns. Sleek buns. Ballerina buns. Teased buns. Geisha buns. Buns. Buns. Buns. My relieving and latest obsession as seen on my last post (you can't barely see it though :-P).
